Yuzurina was from the age of 4 years old raised by her grandmother due to her parents traveling a lot overseas and eventually getting stationed over there with their work. 

Since Yuzurina had lived with her grandmother for a long time and gotten a lot of friends they didn't want to just break her up from that to move around with them, they rather wanted her to have a stable place to live. 

She has always been very popular with both boys and girls and she is often confessed to, but she always politely declines since she doesn't have feelings for the person. Therefore she has the reputation of being  "the impossible challenge", she doesn't like that at all since she just hasn't found anyone she have fallen in love with yet. 
Yuzurina and her grandmother moved from her hometown Hanuda to Hida-shi right before she was to start her first year of high school and enrolled Miyagawa high. To help out at home with money Yuzurina started working at a nearby convenience store.
